Composite Sun in the ninth house indicates a relationship that involves the growth of consciousness. Particularly in a personal relationship, the experiences that you undergo will give you greater understanding and insight into what is going on in your world.

With the Sun in this position, a relationship between the sexes may tend to become platonic.

The two of you will be very interested in communication and the sharing of ideas. You may travel quite a bit or at least be interested in foreign or distant places.

For a personal relationship the only possible defect of this placement is that the relationship is likely to be more intellectual than emotional.

This position is useful in any type of relationship because it indicates that together you have foresight and the ability to plan ahead for the long haul.

Sun opposition Moon is capable of bringing about much good or much difficulty, particularly in a love relationship. With this aspect, there may be tremendous polarity, which results in either-or situations that can cause great tension. On the other hand, this aspect can bring together two radically different elements of your lives and make a higher and more dynamic entity of the two of you.

In a love relationship, you can expect this aspect to generate a lot of energy. You will be tremendously attracted to each other, but you will not feel entirely at ease, because there is a tremendous energy imbalance between you.

Much the same interaction will be found in the chart of friends. In all situations this is a very energetic but unstable combination.

The Moon in the third house implies that this relationship is based largely on feelings. When you are together, you think about yourselves more subjectively and are more influenced by your emotions. You communicate with each other primarily through feelings rather than through intellect.

But at the same time it may be difficult to discuss things rationally and objectively when you have to.

You may talk quite a bit about your collective feelings, which obviously is good in a personal relationship if you keep your sense of perspective and don't overdo it.

With composite Moon opposition composite Mercury, the challenge for your relationship is to learn to balance rational communication with communication of feelings. If the relationship is allowed to follow its natural tendencies, you will probably find it difficult to bring the two kinds of communication together.

Usually a discussion will be a very emotional experience with a good deal of sound and fury and not much true communication. You must learn to make the discussion useful for understanding as well as for letting off steam.

Nevertheless, it is possible to bring about a balance, so that real feelings can be communicated clearly and objectively. But you both will have to learn to look at things in a new and different way by standing outside of your involvement and seeing your partner's position.

Mercury conjunct Venus is an excellent aspect in a composite chart, for it indicates that you both are able to express affection easily.

Another fortunate attribute of this conjunction is that it gives you sensitivity to each other's feelings.

This aspect should help smooth out the roughness that occasionally comes up in any relationship, but it may also make you keep quiet for the sake of preserving harmony when you feel angry. Go ahead and say what you feel, for you will be able to express what must be said in the right way.

With composite Venus in the ninth house, love and affection tend to be intellectual issues that are discussed and pondered over rather than felt.

There is a danger that you may overintellectualize your feelings in this relationship.

However, in compensation, you both examine the nature of your feelings and are more capable than most people of understanding what you mean to each other.

The experience of this relationship may also make both of you see more clearly and become more aware of the world around you. Venus in the ninth house can signify love as an agent of consciousness expansion.

The opposition of composite Uranus and Ascendant signifies that it will be very difficult to settle this relationship into any accustomed and conventional patterns. For this reason it is often a sign of an unstable relationship, one that has many serious ups and downs and may even break up and come together again repeatedly.

Trying to fit a relationship like this into any kind of legally set pattern is likely to trigger its most unstable aspects.

This relationship will work well as long as it revolutionizes your lives, which it will at first, and as long as it is exciting. If this is a marriage, the two of you must operate with as few rules as possible. You cannot impose rules upon each other, only on yourselves.

One other problem that may arise with this aspect is that the two of you may be challenged by people outside the relationship. Others may try to disrupt this relationship and break it up, but if their power does not become too great, it may even be a binding force between you.
